Wall-e is a short film about a near future when all of earth's plant life has been destroyed, and the only living creatures seem to be robots.The main character is an 'Earth Defiler' robot named Wall-e (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class). Life on earth has become so bad that all the large, multi-purpose robots have been sent to space in hopes that they will find another planet with life on it. Wall-e was left behind to continue his job of collecting up all of the trash on earth for years while people lived in comfort far away from its awful environment.Finally one day he finds something interesting - an old video tape entitled "Hello Moon". So naturally Wall-e turns on his video camera and plays the tape. The message on the video is from a woman named Eve (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator), who is on a space ship that has just landed on Earth to find plant life. This is the first person that Wall-e has seen in his entire life, so he falls in love with her.With this new found love, he takes her tape and heads off to present it to the people on the ship by travelling there in an old jet propelled car. All goes well until one day when he crashes in a puddle of mud near some earth-like vegetation. Here he is visited by a cockroach which has survived the destruction of all plant life. The cockroach explains to him that this is just a regular part of life on earth and that there was never any hope for him to become alive again. This is upsetting to Wall-e, who hates the fact that he can no longer help his beloved Eve.After thinking of what he should do, he decides to pack up his things and leave Earth forever, but not before saying goodbye to his new friend (the cockroach). He turns back on the video camera and plays her message one last time. He then floats out into space with no hope of ever returning home or seeing Eve ever again. This is a very meaningful story with a very important message. It shows us how we have to take care of what we have on earth as it can be taken away from us at any time. In this case, the people who lived on Earth deserted it before they were supposed to. They left behind Wall-e to clean up all of their trash and now he is alone, thinking of the day he will finally make it home again only to find out that it’s too late.I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good love story or a nice sad movie because this movie really made me feel something for the character Wall-e. He was a very lovable robot who tried his best to help the people on earth, but they abandoned him leaving him to die. I think that the creators of this movie did a very good job. It was very realistic and moved me to tears more than once. I would also recommend this movie because it shows that if you care about something or someone, then you will do anything in your power to keep them safe.
